Major Project - Modeling Update


I've got the gloves modeled and today started to add parts in photoshop. Before I go modeling them it would be great to get some opinions on if it works better.

Major Project - Modeling Progress

All I can say is it's getting there, everyday it seems to be closer. 

Things to do:

Model gloves
Add details
Make less symmetrical
Add dirt and scratches to plastic material
Make hands displacement map and textures
Model finger nails
Add eyebrows and eyelashes
Improve head displacement
Improve head textures
Make holography display

Major Project - Modeling Progress

There's has been progress, but still a long way to go and some parts I'm not really liking so will need to work in to it.

Major Project - Additional Clothing

I had a bit of an issue with my scene today which took a couple of hours to fix so I'm a little behind on my modeling progress. I have managed to model some under-garments to go under the suit as it was looking odd with his blue formal clothing.

Major Project - Latest Render

There's a few things here and there that need fixing plus some more refining to be done.

This render has got a specular map plugged in, I think it makes it slightly better.

It still needs a bit of tweeking but it's getting there :)

Major Project - Clothes Modeling

Today I made a rough body out of the human model I made to get the scale and proportions somewhat right. I then started to model his basic clothes. Once they are modeled I'll put them into Mudbox to make the folds, export a displacement for them and then use a normal map for the clothes texture.

Major Project - Render Progress


I've put the eyes into the model and done some more test renders. I was originally using mental ray portal lights but the render time was getting up to about 30 mins, I've replaced them with some directional lights instead and it's now less than 2 mins to render. Unfortunately I've not got the latest displacement map on this as I left it at uni, so I've just put on an older version. Still some work needed to be done on the textures, but it's getting better every time I work on it.

I've spent some time today modeling an eye that is far more realistic than any eye I've done before.

Major Project - Skin Shader Test Render

The last couple of days I've been working on a displacement map and getting the skin shader set up. The textures are a little basic at the moment so I'll be adding to them as I go to get it looking more realistic.

Major Project- Head Modeling

Today I've started to work back into the human model I made for the pre-vis just to get it more lifelike. Ive not added that much more geometry into it, I've mostly used the sculpt geometry tool to get it looking like there is a skull inside it.
